Julie Goh

Dr Julie Goh is a graduate from Murdoch University Chiropractic School Perth Australia. She has been serving the community in Perth with specialized chiropractic adjustments, tailored postural and fitness conditioning designed to help patients improve their function through a healthy spine and a healthy nervous system. She finally decided to return home to serve her country Malaysia with the knowledge, confidence and experience gained overseas.
How it all started
At the age of 16 years old, she was diagnosed with severe double scoliosis measuring 50 degrees in the thoracic region and 6o degrees in the lumbar region. With absolutely no knowledge of the condition at that time, she was afraid that her life might cut short. Many visits to many orthopedic surgeons, she was only given an option of surgical procedures. This led her to search for alternative medicine, chiropractic. After many years of chiropractic treatment and exercises, her curvature is now 20 degrees in the thoracic region and 30 degrees in the lumbar region. From there, she chose chiropractic as her profession as she is inspired to educate and impact people's lives in terms of wellness.
Her philosophy
Dr Julie Goh believes that by releasing tension in the nerves that exits the spine; it leads to improve function and balance. Alongside proper nutrition, rest, fitness and a positive mentality are the key ingredients to a healthier you. You will often hear her say, "Ever heard of a spine transplant? Neither have we. So care for the only one that you have."
Dr Julie Goh also enjoys educating her patients about how to maintain a healthy spine. SHe is always asking the question "do you have any questions or concerns". She believes the more you ask, the more you learn. Understanding your condition is just as important as treating it.
Live as a chiropractor
Dr Julie Goh has lots of passion for scoliotic patients. Having the condition herself, allows her to equip herself with lots of knowledge and an understanding of a good proper exercise regime. She is hoping to get into schools to be able to perform scoliosis screening in children.
On top of scoliosis, she has been successfully helping patients with migraines/headaches, neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, numbness in the hands, shoulder injuries, knee and ankle injuries. torticollis, whiplash, postural syndrome etc.
