Chiropractic Milestone of Dr R. Graham Hunt
Graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto Canada with Highest Clinic Honours in 1969.
Awarded a Masters Degree in Chiropractic Science by RMIT University. This degree was conferred in Kuala Lumpur in September 2001.
Lectured to Chiropractic students in Ethics and Jurisprudence at Philip Institute of Technology and then at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University for many years, holding a Diploma in Legal Studies from La Trobe University in Melbourne, and appointment as a Justice of the Peace and as a Bail Justice in the State of Victoria. Now lectures as an Adjunct Professor at the International Medical University, Malaysia.
Served his professional association in Australia for over 25 years in many different capacities, including terms as both State and Federal President.
In 1978 was appointed by the Governor in Council to be a member of the inaugural Victorian Chiropractors and Osteopaths Registration Board and then served for 15 years in that capacity.
In 1993 was honoured by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, by being made a Member of the Order of Australia, for Service to the Chiropractic Profession.
In 1998 was made a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors, the highest honour the Chiropractic profession can bestow upon one of its own.
In May of 1997 returned to Malaysia to serve as Senior Consultant to the Chiropractic Centre which in now known as the Tan Sri Datuk Paduka Saleha Complementary health Care Centre at the Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Petaling Jaya.
About Dr. R. Graham Hunt
In 1957 as an Aircrew member of the Royal Australian Air Force No.1 Bomber Squadron, he was based at RAF Tengah Air Force Base in Singapore and flew 49 bombing missions over Malaya during the “Emergency”.
Married to Patricia Ida Hunt for nigh on 55 years, they have four daughters and twelve grandchildren, most of whom have visited them during their current period of time in Malaysia. As of 1st December 2013 they became Great-Grand-parents.
Recreational pursuits include SCUBA diving with the Malayan Sub Aqua Club, travel, and involvement as team members in presenting “The Marriage Course” conducted by the Damansara Utama Methodist Church at “The Dream Centre”.
